ON YOUR COMPUTER

Screen reading stays local

The app captures parts of visible Metin2 windows to recognise interface state, maps, items and characters. Processing happens on your computer. Mt2Guru does not upload screen captures.

Settings, reminders, recognition caches, a random installation identifier, and diagnostic crash and relog logs are stored under your Windows local application-data folder. The licence key is protected with Windows user-level encryption. These files are not uploaded automatically.

REMOTE SERVICES

What leaves the device

Licence operations send the licence key, random installation identifier and application version to the Mt2Guru backend. The service stores a one-way licence-key hash, installation binding, account display details, entitlement and activation/expiry records. It issues a short-lived session token.

Authenticated live-feed use sends the selected topic and message payload to the backend for delivery to other connections using the same licence. Update checks contact the public Mt2Guru GitHub release repository.

Purpose, legal basis and retention

Licence and service delivery

We process licence and session data to activate the software, enforce the purchased plan, prevent simultaneous misuse, deliver live-feed messages and provide support. The legal bases are performance of our agreement with you and our legitimate interest in securing the service.

Retention

Licence and activation records are kept for the licence term and become eligible for automatic deletion after expiry. Short-lived session records expire with their tokens. Local application files remain until you remove them. Support messages are kept while needed to answer the request and maintain a reasonable support history.

No analytics in this alpha

The current application does not send product analytics, advertising identifiers, gameplay telemetry or screen images. If that changes, this policy and the application will be updated before collection begins.

Website and downloads

Cloudflare serves the website, Google serves its font, and GitHub hosts release downloads. Like ordinary internet services, they may process IP addresses, browser information and request logs for delivery and security under their own policies. Mt2Guru does not set advertising cookies on this site.

YOUR RIGHTS

Access, correction, deletion and objection

Where EU or UK data-protection law applies, you may ask for access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of your personal data, request portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

Email metin2mmo.guru@gmail.com with enough information to identify the relevant licence or support conversation. We may ask you to verify ownership before acting. Deleting server-side licence data can prevent paid features from working.

We may update this policy when the product or providers change. Material changes will be dated here. Mt2Guru is an independent companion application and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Gameforge.
